The Prologue to ‘Stealing Time’:
The Iron Curtain fell with a resounding clang in just one night.
That evening, the world’s televisions showed jubilant crowds heading past impotent border guards and towards the rich shops of West Berlin.
‘The genie is well and truly out of the bottle’, thought Mikhail Gorbachev.
And where does that leave us?
On 26 December 1991, he got his answer. Since, on that date, the Soviet Union itself fell apart less with a clang than a whisper.
But is there only one history?
What if we could change the past?
What if a new Leader of Russia could reverse time?
The trouble is – he can!
And it all started back in Victorian London….
